DOWSIL 983 Structural Glazing Sealant is a two-part, neutral-cure RTV silicone engineered for dual-purpose use as both a structural adhesive and weatherseal in curtain wall and factory glazing applications. Once cured, it forms a durable, watertight bond capable of ±25% movement, ensuring exceptional performance in high-demand architectural environments.

This high-strength sealant adheres strongly to glass, alodine, anodized aluminum, and other façade materials without primer, though DOWSIL Primer-C OS is recommended for superior and consistent adhesion on specialty coatings such as Kynar® and fluoropolymer finishes. It delivers excellent UV resistance, weatherability, and flexibility, maintaining integrity under repeated expansion and compression.

With low VOC content (<18 g/L) and compliance with ASTM C1184 and ASTM C719 Class 25, DOWSIL 983 offers an environmentally responsible and high-performance option for structural glazing projects.
