PERM-A-BARRIER WB Primer is a water-based, high-tack primer designed for use with PERM-A-BARRIER Flashings, Detail Membrane, and Wall Membrane. It enhances adhesion to various surfaces, including glass-mat-faced gypsum sheathing, by bonding to the substrate and binding dust. The primer is fast-drying, easy to apply, and provides aggressive tack, ensuring a secure and long-lasting bond.

This primer is ideal for construction projects requiring a VOC-compliant, low-odor solution. It can be applied with a brush or roller and dries quickly under favorable conditions. It remains effective at temperatures as low as 25°F (-4°C), though it must be stored above freezing to maintain performance.

PERM-A-BARRIER WB Primer is available in 5-gallon pails and meets U.S. EPA VOC regulations with a low content of 10 g/L. Application is straightforward—simply ensure surfaces are dry, clean, and free from frost or contaminants before applying. If primed surfaces are left exposed for more than seven days or accumulate dust, a reapplication may be necessary.

With a drying time that varies from 15 minutes in warm, windy conditions to three hours in cold weather, this primer adapts well to different environments, ensuring reliability across a range of construction scenarios.
