MiraDRAIN 2000 is an intermediate-flow drainage composite made for vertical drainage work on foundation walls, retaining walls, bridge abutments, and similar structures. It is built with a molded polypropylene core and a bonded nonwoven filter fabric. The fabric helps keep soil and other fines out of the drainage path while still allowing water to pass through freely. This helps the system move water down and away from the wall instead of letting it build up against the structure.
This product is designed for single-sided vertical drainage applications where you need dependable drainage performance but do not need the higher flow and higher compressive strength of heavier-duty boards. It is a good fit for shallow-depth installations up to 10 feet, where it can relieve hydrostatic pressure and help protect the waterproofing system behind it. In addition to working as a drainage layer, MiraDRAIN 2000 can also serve as a protection course over CCW waterproofing membranes.
The molded core gives water a consistent path to flow, while the bonded fabric helps prevent clogging caused by backfill pressure forcing fabric into the dimples. That combination gives the product reliable drainage performance without the weight, labor, and mess of aggregate-based systems. Because it is lightweight and comes in roll form, it is easier to handle, cut, and install on the jobsite. It can be installed against waterproofed or non-waterproofed walls, depending on the assembly design.
MiraDRAIN 2000 is flexible enough to fit wall conditions and can terminate at the top of the footing. It can also be installed in rows or columns depending on the project layout. The flat side fits snug to the wall, and the fabric side faces the soil. Once installed, it helps channel water to the drainage collection system while reducing pressure on the wall and helping extend the life of the waterproofing assembly.
MiraDRAIN 2000 is lightweight, easy to cut, and easy to install. The flat side fits tight to the wall, and the fabric side faces the soil. It comes in 4′ x 50′ rolls, giving crews a practical drainage layer that helps protect the wall and move water where it needs to go.
