Tremco Vulkem 171 Primer 1-Quart

Vulkem Primer 171 is a one-part porous surface primer made to improve adhesion before applying Vulkem urethane sealants, coatings, or TREMproof membranes. It is designed for porous surfaces like concrete, plywood, wood, and similar substrates where extra grip is needed before the top product goes on.

This primer dries quickly and is moisture-curing, which helps speed up the job. It is applied with a clean brush or roller and should be laid down generously without letting it puddle. At about 70°F, it usually needs 30 to 45 minutes to become tacky before the sealant, coating, or membrane is installed. It should not be allowed to dry completely hard or glossy before topcoating.
