Carlisle Detail Tape: Miraply Detail Tape
Carlisle Detail Tape is a reinforced butyl-based, fabric-faced detailing tape for use with MiraPLY. MiraPLY Detail Tape offers an aggressive grip and remains flexible during application, ensuring immediate adhesion on contact and long-term bonding. MiraPLY Detail Tape is ideal for MiraPLY, metal, plastics and some fabrics. The pressure sensitive properties of Carlisle Detail Tape allow for a fast, clean and easy application.Contact us
Preparation: Clean surface – dust, dirt, rust, oil, and moisture. Clean TPO and Butyl Alloy membrane surfaces with a dry clean cloth. Sure-Seal Weathered Membrane Cleaner may be used for hard to clean areas.
Method: Apply exactly the first time; attempting to remove may damage tape. Peel off a few inches of release liner and press down firmly at center. Work toward outside edge of tape to prevent wrinkles. Remove release liner of next piece and match up surfaces to be joined. Carefully and exactly press surfaces together overlapping a minimum of 2 inches and roll lap.
Roll all installed MiraPLY Detail Tape using a hand roller.
Temperature: 20°F to 110°F. Installation below 25°F requires special tools and techniques. Consult Technical Services.
Surfaces must be clean and free of moisture and contamination. Do not apply this product where temperatures will exceed 200°F. Keep out of the reach of children. Review MSDS for safety information prior to use. DO NOT use where acidic or alkaline chemicals are present.
Carlisle Coatings & Waterproofing Incorporated (Carlisle) warrants this product
to be free of defects in workmanship and materials only at the time of shipment from our factory. If any Carlisle materials prove to contain manufacturing defects that substantially affect their performance, Carlisle will, at its option, replace the materials or refund its purchase price. This limited warranty is the only warranty extended by Carlisle with respect to its materials. There are no other warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Carlisle specifically disclaims liability for any incidental, consequential, or other damages, including but not limited to, loss of profits or damages to a structure or its contents, arising under any theory of law whatsoever. The dollar value of Carlisle’s liability and buyer’s remedy under this limited warranty shall not exceed the purchase price of the Carlisle material in question.
