DOWSIL 790 Silicone Building Sealant
Product Description: DOWSIL 790 Silicone Building Sealant is an ultra-low-modulus, one-part, neutral-cure silicone sealant designed for new and remedial construction joint sealing. It provides excellent performance in joints that experience extreme movement while placing low stress on the sealant-to-substrate bond. Its strong weather resistance and flexibility make it well suited for demanding exterior construction applications.

Technical Standards:
- Meets or exceeds ASTM C920, Type S, Grade NS, Class 100/50, Uses T, NT, M, G, A, and O.
- Meets requirements for many UL wall and floor fire-rated designs.
- Meets UL 263 (ASTM E119), Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials.
- ASTM C719 joint movement capability of +100/-50%.

DOWSIL 790 provides excellent unprimed adhesion to many masonry and concrete surfaces, but application and testing recommendations should be followed to ensure proper performance.
Safety and Handling: Read the product and Safety Data Sheets and container labels before use for complete safety, physical hazard, and health information. Follow all recommended handling precautions.
Storage: Store DOWSIL 790 at or below 90°F (32°C). When properly stored, the sealant has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture. Refer to the packaging for the specific “Use By” date.
Packaging: Available in 10.3 fl oz (305 mL) disposable cartridges, 20 fl oz (590 mL) E-Z Pak foil sausages, and 2.0 or 4.5 gallon (7.5 or 17 L) bulk pails. It can be applied with standard caulking guns, many air-operated guns, and most bulk dispensing equipment.
Limitations: Not recommended for structural applications, below-grade use, continuous water immersion, interior penetration firestop systems, or wet or frost-covered surfaces. Do not apply to brass, copper, or similar materials that may corrode, or to materials that bleed oils, plasticizers, or solvents. It should not be used in completely confined spaces, on surfaces that will be painted after application, or in direct or indirect contact with food. Solvents and primers must be completely dry before applying the sealant.
