Tremco Puma System: Puma Speed Coating
Tremco Puma system is a cold-applied, waterproofing system that utilizes polyurethane-methacrylate (PUMA) technology. Tremco PUMA waterproofing systems offer superior elongation over traditional MMA/PMMA technology systems. TREMproof PUMA is composed of a primer (Tremcproof PUMA Primer) and a base coat (Tremco PUMA BC or Tremco PUMA BC LM). All system components are cured using Tremco PUMA Initiator. Questions? TREMproof PUMA is designed to have tenacious adhesion and extreme abrasion resistance. It can provide the ability to proceed with overburden one hour after application, which expedites construction schedules.
Use Tremco Vulkem 116 as a joint sealant
Each layer of all PUMA technology systems cure in 30-45 minutes and the next coat can be applied at that time. In fact, they can be opened up to traffic one hour after installation is complete.
Concrete shall be water cured and attain a 4000 PSI minimum compressive strength for vehicular or heavy duty traffic and 3000 PSI minimum for pedestrian, buried or non-traffic bearing systems. All concrete shall be shotblast to a ICRI CSP #3-#4 finish. Moisture content in the concrete must be lower than 6% as measured using a Tramex CME 4 Moisture Meter. Depending on concrete construction and job site location, additional concrete testing may be required.
Please refer to the TREMproof PUMA Application Instructions for complete application details. The techniques involved may require modification to adjust to job-site specific conditions.
